About Outdoor Kids Photography
Outdoor sessions are all about following your child's lead rather than posing them. Unlike my studio setups, these shoots depend entirely on the weather and the timing of the sun, so we aim for the 'golden hour'—early morning or late afternoon—to get that soft, natural glow. I bring a small kit of props like wicker chairs or blankets to create a defined space, but the best photos usually happen when I step back and let your little one explore the trees and grass.
My Approach to Outdoor Photography
When we step out of the studio, the environment becomes part of the composition. I don't believe in forcing rigid poses. Instead, I look for moments of genuine discovery. Whether it is a toddler inspecting a flower or a sibling running across a field, my goal is to frame these candid reactions against the lush backdrops we find in Gurgaon's parks and green spaces.
What to Expect During the Session
- Timing: Light is everything. I prefer shooting during the golden hour (just after sunrise or before sunset) to get that signature soft, hazy light that makes photos feel warm and dreamy.
- Props & Comfort: I bring portable accessories to add character to the scene, but I keep the load light so we can move around. We will always have a base spot for portraits, but we'll spend much of the time walking.
- Flexibility: Kids get distracted, and that is okay. If your child wants to chase butterflies or sit in the grass, we follow. These interactions often lead to the most authentic photos.
- Edits: Even though these are candid, I treat the final images with the same care as my studio work. I smooth the lighting, balance the natural tones, and ensure the background highlights the subject without looking over-processed.
