About Hampi: Ruins, Boulders & Riverside Resorts
Keep in mind that these resorts are situated in the wilderness, usually 10 to 15 kilometers away from the main archaeological ruins. You get peaceful boulder views and nature trails right at your doorstep, but you will need to arrange local transport if you plan to visit the main monuments during your stay.
Hampi is legendary for its landscape, but staying right in the middle of the crowded heritage zones can be exhausting. We prefer finding resorts that let you soak in the geography properly. Our selected properties are set along the Tungabhadra River or deep in the rocky terrain, offering a genuine retreat from the heat and the crowds.

If you want to explore the history of the Vijayanagara Empire, we recommend keeping your mornings free for temple visits and your evenings for relaxing by the water.
