Hampi Weekend Group Trips
Explore the surreal boulder landscapes and ancient ruins of Hampi with our tribe. We handle the logistics, so you can focus on the vibe, the history, and making new friends.
Watching the sunset over Hampi's surreal, boulder-strewn landscape is a core memory from our trips. We find the best spots for the group to sit back, relax, and soak in the incredible views.
The iconic Stone Chariot at the Vittala Temple complex is a masterpiece of Vijayanagara architecture. We make sure you get to see this incredible monument, which is even featured on the Indian 50 rupee note.
The towering gopuram of the Virupaksha Temple against a brilliant blue sky. This is one of India's oldest functioning temples, and its energy is something you have to experience firsthand.
Have you experienced Hampi in the monsoon? The landscape turns a lush green, the Tungabhadra river is full, and the ancient ruins look even more magical. This video shows our coracle ride and a visit to the famous stepwell.
The geometric perfection of the Pushkarani, or temple stepwell, is a sight to behold. We explore these architectural marvels and learn about their significance in the ancient city of Hampi.
Another perspective of the beautiful and symmetrical stepwell within the Royal Enclosure. It’s a perfect spot for photography and imagining life during the empire's peak.
The Lotus Mahal, with its unique blend of Indian and Islamic architectural styles, stands gracefully amidst a green lawn. It's one of the most well-preserved structures in Hampi's Zenana Enclosure.
Our group posing in front of the Elephant Stables, an impressive structure that once housed the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. Its grand arches and domes are a highlight of our Hampi tour.
The monolithic Ugra Narasimha statue is one of Hampi's most imposing sights. We take our time to appreciate the incredible craftsmanship of this giant sculpture of Lord Vishnu's fierce avatar.
The whole tribe in front of the majestic Ugra Narasimha statue. Exploring these historical sites together makes the experience so much more memorable.
About Hampi: The Ancient City
We don't just dump you at the ruins and leave you to it. We manage the weekend logistics, which usually means a Friday night departure from Bangalore in a tempo traveller, giving you two full days to explore the boulder-strewn landscapes and Hippie Island without worrying about transport or local navigation. You show up with a backpack, and we take care of the rest.
Hampi is more than just a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a place where history meets a completely laid-back lifestyle. Our weekend trips are designed to help you experience both sides of the city.
On the one hand, we hit the heavy hitters: the Stone Chariot, the Virupaksha Temple, and the Ugra Narasimha statue. These places are incredible, but they can be overwhelming to plan on your own. We provide context and make sure you hit these spots when the light is right for photography.
On the other hand, the real magic happens when we cross the river to Hippie Island. This is where you find the unique cafes, the boulder-jumping spots, and the chance to just sit by the river and do nothing at all. Our Hampi trips are not strict, timed tours. We leave room for spontaneous plans, music sessions, and long conversations.
Logistically, we keep it simple. We use comfortable homestays or guest houses that are clean and basic, ensuring you are close to the action. We include the key local experiences, like coracle rides on the Tungabhadra river, and handle the entry fees to major monuments. Our trip captains are there to act as friends who know the way, not guides who lecture you. If you are a solo traveller looking to meet a new family, or a group of friends wanting a weekend break from Bangalore without the stress of planning, this is where you belong.
Adventure Buddha
We are a bunch of Bangalore folks who swapped boring weekends for road trips and good company. When we visit Hampi, we make sure you see the iconic Stone Chariot, but we also find time to chill at local cafes and catch sunsets over the boulders. Join our tribe to see why this ancient city is our favorite place to unwind.
