When working on grand-scale projects, the biggest challenge is maintaining intimacy within expansive volumes. I pay close attention to how light hits the facade and how the structure interacts with the landscape, ensuring your home feels like a private retreat rather than an imposing building. We use 3D walkthroughs to map spatial flow early on, so you see exactly how the shadows and scale will feel in your daily life before we break ground.
My approach to grand-scale architecture balances bold aesthetics with technical precision. Large-scale residential projects require a deep understanding of structural coordination, particularly when dealing with complex cantilevers or vast open spans. I oversee the entire technical process, including MEP layouts and structural integrity, to ensure the design vision remains intact from the first sketch to the final polish.
We often integrate heritage elements into modern frameworks, as seen in our Aurohouse project where we preserved the essence of an existing structure while building an innovative contemporary space above it. This requires meticulous site analysis and climate study to respect the local environment.
My team and I are particularly focused on the facade and external lighting. A building should interact with its surroundings; whether it is the play of moonlight against a textured stone wall or the way an infinity pool reflects the sky, these elements define the sanctuary. We treat the transition from the outdoors to the interior as a crucial part of the architectural experience, using natural stone, fluted glass, and lush greenery to guide you home.
