Behind the Scenes of My Bollywood Dance Workshops
Getting ready for the shadi season is more than just learning steps. Here is a look at the chaos, the collaborations, and the quiet moments before the music starts in Bangalore.
Getting into the 'shadi season' mode. Ready for a season of dance, celebration, and creating memories.
Another shot from the wedding season. The right attitude is as important as the right moves.
All smiles and ready for the wedding festivities to begin. This is the energy I bring to every sangeet.
A candid moment before a dance collaboration shoot. It's all about having a good time with fellow artists.
Getting ready for a shoot. A moment of calm before the high-energy performance begins.
Just a candid picture from a day out. Wanted to use this cool song on my feed.
Another picture from a casual outing. Capturing the fun moments in between dance sessions.
Good vibes only. Having a fun, candid moment at the studio with a friend.
About Behind the Scenes
I often get asked if the rehearsals are as intense as the final performance. The truth is, the prep is where the real fun happens and where the chemistry actually builds. Whether we are working out of a studio in HSR or coming to your home, I keep the sessions relaxed, focusing more on comfort and natural expressions than drilling the same step for hours.
People usually see the polished stage performance, but the magic happens long before the lights go up. My process is less about perfection and more about getting you comfortable enough to own the dance floor.
When we start planning for your sangeet or a group performance, I focus on the 'behind-the-scenes' fundamentals:
- Comfort First: If you aren't comfortable in your outfit or if a step feels forced, it shows. I prioritize movements that fit your personal style, whether it's a slow romantic duet or a high-energy group number.
- The Bangalore Vibe: I operate across Bangalore, frequently moving between HSR Layout and Koramangala studios. Being on the ground means I can adapt to your space, whether you need a private setup at your home or a larger studio for the whole squad.
- Chemistry Over Steps: You can be a professional dancer, but if you look stressed, the audience feels it. We spend time on facial expressions and chemistry during practice, ensuring that when the day comes, you are having a blast, not just counting beats.
From the early days of practicing with friends at IIT to helping families find their rhythm today, my approach remains the same. Leave the stress at the door, put on some music, and let's get moving. If you are worried about having two left feet, don't be. That is exactly where I come in to help you figure it out.
