The Art of Creation: A Peek Behind the Scenes
Ever wonder how fragile petals or fleeting moments turn into a solid keepsake? This is a look into my workspace where I turn memories into art, layer by layer.
The magic starts here. This video shows the very first step of varmala preservation: carefully dismantling the garland and preparing each individual flower for the drying process. This step is crucial to ensure the petals keep their shape and color.
A satisfying look at the process of creating a varmala preservation frame. Here, I am carefully placing the dried flowers, adding the couple's photo, and sealing it all with the final layer of clear, glossy resin.
This is how I create the iconic look of the Triveni Sangam. I pour two different colors of resin to mimic the meeting of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, carefully blending them to create a natural flow.
Here is a tutorial on how I upcycled old resin t-light holders into a unique, photo-changeable frame. It's a great way to give an old piece a new purpose and a new story.
A calming video of me arranging dried flowers for a calendar plaque. Each tiny flower and leaf is placed with tweezers to create a beautiful and balanced floral design before the resin is poured.
A quick tutorial on making trendy floral resin pendants. I share a few tips, like using UV resin for a non-yellowing top coat and ensuring your flowers are completely dry before you begin.
The final steps of creating the Maha Kumbh keepsake. In this video, I am adding the preserved Ganga Jal into the river channels I created, a delicate process that brings the whole piece together.
A behind-the-scenes look at a large bulk order. This is part of the process of making 100 baptism favors, showing the demoulded pieces ready for their finishing touches.
This video shows the process of repairing a broken floral clock that was sent to me. It was a delicate task, but I was so happy to restore this precious memory for the client.
When a precious clock arrived shattered, it carried broken hearts too. This video shows the restoration process, from the broken pieces to the beautifully mended final clock, proving that even broken memories can be made whole again.
About The Art of Creation
Before the final pour, every flower undergoes a 7 to 14-day dehydration process in silica sand to lock in its natural shape and color. This is not a rushed job; it is a delicate balancing act to ensure that when I pour the resin, the petals do not turn brown or translucent, keeping your memories looking exactly as they did on your special day.
My Creative Process
Preservation is more science than magic. When you send me your wedding garland, a baby’s memento, or a pet's paw print, the first step is stabilization. Moisture is the enemy of resin, so I spend days removing every drop of water from organic items. If I rush this, the piece will cloud or rot from within, and that is a heartbreak I work hard to avoid.
Why Quality Resin Matters
I use high-gloss, non-yellowing epoxy resin specifically designed for longevity. You might have seen cheaper resin turn yellow or tacky over time when exposed to sunlight. My casting process involves multi-layer pouring, which allows me to suspend photos, delicate flowers, and trinkets at different depths, creating a 3D effect inside the block.
Handling Broken Memories
Sometimes, clients reach out because a keepsake they already own has shattered. I treat these restoration projects with extra care. Whether it is a broken floral clock or a cracked frame, I deconstruct, clean, and re-pour the resin to make the piece whole again. It is a slow, steady process of repair, but seeing a client's relief when they get their memory back in one piece makes it worthwhile.
Designing Your Piece
Once the preservation and casting are done, I focus on the finish. From hand-painting gold edges on frames to ensuring the photo integration is crisp, every detail is handled manually. Because I run this studio in Bengaluru, I maintain direct contact with you throughout the process—you get updates on how your keepsake is shaping up, so you always know exactly what is happening to your precious items.
