Live Wedding Painting: Capturing Your Special Day
I turn the magic of your wedding day into a real-time, one-of-a-kind canvas. No filters, just me, my easel, and the authentic emotion of your ceremony.
This was the beginning of it all. My first live wedding painting was for my best friend, Rishi, and his beautiful wife, Aparna. I had drawn many faces from photos, but painting live, with the sound of their vows and the energy of their families around me, was a completely different feeling. It was raw and emotional, and every brushstroke felt like it was capturing a piece of their love story as it happened. This experience is what I bring to every wedding, creating a unique piece of art for you, a custom ceremony canvas that tells the story of your special day.
About Featured
When I paint live, I do not just capture how you look—I capture the atmosphere of your ceremony. I arrive 60 minutes before the festivities begin, setting up my easel in a spot that keeps me out of your photographer's way while letting guests witness the painting taking shape. It is an organic process, and by the time you exchange your final vows, a piece of your story is ready to take home.
My Approach to Live Painting
I started with hyper-realistic pencil portraits, but I found my true calling in the energy of weddings. When you book me for a live painting, you are not just getting a static image. You are getting a record of the love, the chaos, and the quiet moments between the vows.
Choosing Your Canvas
I offer two main ways to capture your day, depending on what speaks to you most:
- Live Couple Portrait (18" x 24"): This is perfect if you want a central focus on you and your partner. It’s an intimate, expressive acrylic piece that captures the essence of the couple with a semi-abstract background of your floral arch or decor.
- The Grand Scene (24" x 30"): For those who want the full picture. I capture the wider environment, including architectural details like the Mandap, chandeliers, and the stage decor. This format allows for texture paste work, giving a 3D effect to jewelry or flowers.
What to Expect on the Day
My setup includes everything—the wooden easel, floor protection, and professional lighting rigs. For the larger, grander paintings, I usually start a bit earlier to map out the venue skeleton before your guests arrive. My goal is to ensure that by the end of your event, you have a finished, varnished piece ready to display in your home. I travel across Mumbai and beyond to be part of your story, and I am always grateful for the chance to hold onto these memories with you. ।। श्री कृष्ण सदा सहायते ।।
