About this collection
Every Monday, we hold a Rudra Puja here at the ashram. It is a simple but powerful way to reset your mind after the weekend. You do not need to know the Sanskrit mantras to feel the shift; just sitting in the presence of the chanting and the homa fire helps quiet the noise in your head. Whether you join us in person or watch the live stream, the intention remains the same: to find a moment of stillness and return to your center.
Our approach to Vedic rituals is rooted in the belief that ceremony is not just tradition, but a tool for mental hygiene. When the mind is cluttered with worry, these ancient practices provide a structure for release.
The Power of Rudra Puja This is our primary weekly offering. It is a dedicated space to invoke the energy of Shiva, which represents the principle of dissolution—letting go of what no longer serves you. By pouring water over the Shiva Lingam during Abhishekam and sitting through the chanting, participants often report a sense of lightness and clarity that is hard to find in the daily rush of city life.
Joining the Ceremony
- In-Person: Our campus on Kanakapura Road is open for those who wish to experience the fire ceremonies in the ashram's serene environment. You are welcome to sit, meditate, and soak in the vibrations of the Vedic chants.
- Remote Participation: We understand that distance can be a barrier. Through our remote Sankalpa service, you can register your name and 'Gotra' (lineage). Our pundits will chant your name during the Homa, and you can connect via our live webcast. This ensures you are part of the process, no matter where you are.
Why We Focus on Homas Fire is considered a sacred medium in Vedic tradition. The Homa fire acts as a purifier, and the specific energy generated by a group of people chanting in unison creates a collective atmosphere that is deeply grounding. We keep these rituals authentic, led by trained Vedic scholars, so that the sanctity of the practice is preserved.
