About My Training & Techniques
When I craft a braid or an updo, it is not just about the final look, but the foundation and longevity of the style. I use specific sectioning and teasing techniques to ensure your hair stays comfortable and perfectly in place from the start of your event until the very last photo, whether it is a heavy bridal bun or a soft, open style.
My approach to hair is built on the training I received at the Divya Kushi Hair Academy. I believe that a great hairstyle, whether it is a fishtail braid for a pre-wedding shoot or a traditional bridal bun, must be built on technical precision.
The Importance of Technique
Every style starts with the right preparation. For updos like my advanced U-bun or a classic bridal bun, I focus on symmetry and secure pinning so that heavy floral accessories, such as real jasmine or gold hair pieces, remain stable for hours. When I create braids, I prioritize the structure of the weave to ensure the volume stays consistent, preventing the style from flattening mid-event.
My Stylist's Toolkit
- Braiding: I specialize in multi-strand weaves, including fishtail and rope braids, which are ideal for bohemian-themed events or photoshoots.
- Updos: My formal buns are designed to showcase jewelry like a maang tikka, ensuring the hair pulls back cleanly to frame your face without looking strained.
- Soft Styles: For open hair, I utilize heat styling to create Hollywood waves and face-framing tendrils that soften your look and move naturally.
Because I also mentor other artists, I am constantly practicing these methods to keep them sharp. I understand that you need your hair to feel like 'you,' which is why I combine these advanced techniques with a natural aesthetic. If you have a specific vision, let me know, and we can discuss the technical requirements to make it happen.
