When you send me your precious items like hospital bands or a first lock of hair, I treat them like family heirlooms. I start by carefully arranging these mementos on a base layer, often using custom pigments or dried flowers that match your nursery theme, before sealing everything in multiple, bubble-free pours of resin.
Creating these keepsakes is more than just resin art; it is a delicate process of preserving a story. Many parents worry about sending sentimental items like umbilical cords or hospital wristbands through the mail, but I handle each piece with absolute respect.
The Process, Step-by-Step
Once your package reaches my Delhi studio, I inspect every item. Whether it is a pregnancy test, a hospital ID band, or a first lock of hair, each element gets a specialized preservation treatment to ensure it does not discolour or degrade inside the resin. I then create a layout that highlights your baby's birth details—like weight, time, and date—using metallic decals.
Designing Your Keepsake
You get to decide the look. Whether you prefer a clean, minimal aesthetic with gold flakes, a beach theme with real sand and shells, or a floral arrangement, we design it together. I layer the resin carefully, waiting for each pour to cure perfectly before adding the next. This multi-layer technique adds depth and ensures that photos, umbilical cords, and tags are suspended beautifully without air bubbles.
Logistics and Care
I ship across India and internationally. Every piece is packed with heavy-duty foam padding to survive the journey. If you are in Delhi NCR, you can also coordinate a studio visit. These are not just display items; they are touchstones that hold a mother's most cherished connection.
