Warm and Welcoming Modern Indian Living Spaces
I design living areas that serve as the heart of your home, blending modern comfort with personal touches and deep cultural roots for a space that feels uniquely yours.
The main seating area of the Lajpat Nagar vacation home, designed to be bright and airy. The rust-colored sofa adds a pop of warmth against the neutral marble flooring and sheer curtains that filter the natural light beautifully.
Another view of the living room, highlighting the connection between the seating area and the custom wooden entertainment wall. The layout is planned for easy conversation and a comfortable viewing experience.
This custom-built entertainment unit combines open and closed storage, featuring vertical wood fluting and integrated lighting. It's a perfect example of how I merge aesthetics with practical solutions for modern living.
On the opposite wall, I designed these large, textured art panels with gold leaf accents to add a layer of luxury and artistry. This feature wall becomes a sophisticated backdrop for the entire living space.
This detail shot shows a custom-designed TV console in a striking green finish with elegant gold trim. The curved edges soften the silhouette, creating a piece that is both a storage unit and a statement of style.
A wider view of the TV unit, showing how the rich, dark wood of the door contrasts with the light marble wall. This balance of materials and colors is key to my Modern Indian design approach.
About Warm & Welcoming Living Spaces
Notice how the TV units here aren't just for display. I prioritize a mix of open shelving for keepsakes and closed cabinets to keep the clutter out, ensuring your living room stays calm and organized, not just pretty.
When I look at a living room, I don't just see furniture placement. I see where you’ll host family gatherings, where the kids will play, and where you’ll unwind after a long day. My approach to residential interior design in Delhi NCR is rooted in the Modern Indian aesthetic—clean, functional lines paired with warm textures like walnut wood and natural stone.
Take the Lajpat Nagar project featured here, for example. My clients wanted a vacation home that reminded them of their Kashmiri roots. Instead of forcing a generic 'modern' look, we integrated traditional walnut tones with contemporary marble flooring to create that specific warmth they were craving. This balance is what I aim for in every home.
Whether you are looking for custom entertainment units that hide ugly wires or specialized lighting layouts for an airy atmosphere, my design consultancy focuses on these practical details. I believe your home should work for you, not the other way around.
My process involves a deep-dive consultation to understand your lifestyle before we ever draft a floor plan. We'll look at material palettes together—from rich laminates to soft furnishings—ensuring that your living space feels like an extension of your own story. If you're tired of cookie-cutter designs and want a home that truly breathes, let’s talk about your vision.
