Architecture is more than building structures. It is about the lives they hold. Explore the principles that guide my work and the vision behind ARK.

A portrait of me in my office. With over 37 years of architectural excellence, my philosophy is to liberate spaces, blending artistry, function, and sustainability to create designs that inspire and stand the test of time.

A photo with my wife and Director of Interior Design, Mahnaz Tafti Kabul. Her expertise in blending contemporary elements with timeless aesthetics has been invaluable to our firm's success in hospitality, residential, and commercial interiors.

Introducing Architect Salar, one of the bright young talents at my firm. I believe in mentoring the next generation, and Salar brings fresh perspectives and global technological advancements to our team.

In this video, I discuss my take on simple, luxurious living. A home is where you can be yourself, and I believe in using high-quality materials like Italian marble purposefully, not just for show.

This video explains my approach to luxury living, which integrates comfort, sustainability, and smart technology. True luxury is about thoughtful design, like using automatic curtains to manage sunlight and save energy.

A video where I discuss the importance of flexibility and connectivity in design. I share an example of how a commercial building we designed was later adapted into a hospital, proving that good design must be adaptable.

A quote that captures my belief: "Every building has a voice; it's up to the architect to make it sing." I see my role as a conductor, ensuring each space finds its purpose and resonates with beauty.

On World Architecture Day, I reflected on the three 'A's that guide my work: Authenticity, Ambition, and Attention to Detail. For me, architecture is a promise to future generations.

Speaking on Tall Building Constructions at the Concrete Day Celebration in Lucknow. It was a privilege to share my knowledge and interact with curious students from the Government College of Architecture.

About My Philosophy & Leadership

When you choose to work with me, you are getting me, not just my team. I am hands-on from day one, from the initial site context analysis to the final design workshops. Architecture is art with a twist of engineering, and I believe my direct involvement is the only way to ensure the 'design DNA' we promise actually makes it to your site.

My firm, ARK, was started in 1988 with one goal: to make spaces that matter. My work revolves around 'liberating spaces,' a concept where we dissolve the barrier between the indoors and the outdoors. Whether I am designing a private luxury villa or a large-scale commercial hub, I aim to merge these environments into one fabric.

I operate by three core tenets: Authenticity, Ambition, and Attention to Detail. Authenticity means a building should respect its site and the city around it. Ambition is about pushing boundaries, such as taking on high-rise residential towers that change the skyline. Attention to detail is how I ensure that luxury is not just about using expensive materials everywhere, but about knowing exactly where to place them for the most impact.

Sustainability is non-negotiable. I design for cross-ventilation, natural light, and future-proof layouts. I have seen buildings I designed as offices adapt into hospitals because we built in structural flexibility from the start. A building should have a long life, serving the next few generations as effectively as it serves you today.

I am not a solo act. My wife, Mahnaz, leads our interior design work, bringing color harmony and timeless aesthetics to our projects. We also mentor young architects, ensuring that the next generation brings fresh, global technological perspectives to our legacy. If you want to build something that feels real and right, I am all in.
