Real, Candid Haldi and Mehendi Photography
I don’t believe in posed photos during your Haldi or Mehendi. These ceremonies are about messy, joyful, real-life chaos, and that’s exactly what I’m here to capture.

About A Riot of Colour & Laughter
The best Haldi shots don’t happen when you’re looking at the camera. They happen when your cousin accidentally gets haldi in your eye, or when you’re laughing so hard you can’t breathe. I focus on being invisible, letting the turmeric stains and the water fights happen naturally so you get pictures that actually feel like you.
Why these moments matter
For me, the Haldi and Mehendi are the heart of the wedding. It is where the formalities drop. When you are covered in haldi or someone is teasing you during a ceremony, you aren't thinking about how you look, you are just living the moment. That, to me, is the real magic. I have spent over a decade documenting these rituals across Delhi and Goa, and I have learned that the messier it gets, the better the final set of images.
No posing, just living
You won’t find me telling you to look left or pose with a bowl of turmeric. That breaks the spell. My approach is purely documentary. I blend into the crowd, usually with a smaller lens, so I can catch the genuine reactions: the aunties laughing, the kids running around, and that split-second look between you and your partner. If you are planning an intimate backyard Haldi in Delhi or a vibrant seaside Mehendi in Goa, my goal is to frame it exactly as it happened—bright, loud, and full of emotion.
A few things to consider
Lighting is key for outdoor Haldi rituals. Try to schedule these sessions during the golden hour or in a space with plenty of natural light. It makes a massive difference to how those vibrant yellows and greens pop in the final edit. And don't worry about the mess. Whether it is a calm family ceremony or a full-blown water fight, I am right there in the middle of it. If you are looking for someone to document the joy without making it feel like a production, let’s talk.
