Ananta: The Unlimited

This production explores the infinite capacity within each of us and the limitless realms of imagination. Performed in Ahmedabad, 'Ananta' was a journey through classical Kuchipudi pieces, brought to life with a full live orchestra and dramatic lighting to create a truly immersive experience.

Nishagandhi Festival Recital

Performing at the prestigious Nishagandhi Dance Festival, organized by Kerala Tourism, was an honor. For this solo recital in Thiruvananthapuram, I presented a traditional Kuchipudi repertoire, including a powerful Shiva Tarangam and an expressive Javali, backed by a wonderful live orchestra.

Kolkata Performances

As a Bengali, performing in Kolkata always feels special, like a homecoming. These performances were part of the 'Story Tellers' series, where I explored traditional Kuchipudi pieces as well as compositions based on the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore, connecting with my cultural roots.

Mandala: A Journey in Music and Dance

'Mandala' is a unique and intimate collaboration with the gifted vocalist Chandana Bala Kalyan, directed by the legendary Leela Samson. We explore the spiritual journey of seeking, moving from love and separation to disillusionment and finally, dissolution, using the poetry of saints like Kabir and Meera Bai. The performance is intentionally minimalist, relying on the raw power of just voice and movement.

Call of the Flute: A Confluence of Arts

This production is a unique confluence of three art forms: my Kuchipudi dance, the soulful flute music of Hrishikesh Majumdar, and the intricate Pichwai paintings of Shan Bhatnagar. Together, we explore the rich Vaishnav iconography of Lord Krishna, where the sound of his divine flute is the thread that connects all art and all souls.

Jugalbandi: Duets & Group Choreographies

I find immense joy and creative energy in collaboration. Dancing with other artists, whether in a duet or a larger group, is a process of conversation and discovery. These performances bring together different styles like Bharatanatyam and Odissi with my Kuchipudi, creating a unique and exciting dialogue on stage.

The Art of Kuchipudi: Form, Expression & Practice

Dance is my daily practice, my creative expression, and my connection to a tradition that is centuries old. This collection offers a glimpse into the core elements of Kuchipudi, from the pure, rhythmic dance (Nritta) and expressive storytelling (Abhinaya) you see on stage, to the quiet moments of rehearsal and preparation that happen behind the scenes.
