About this collection
For a Haldi or Mehendi, the lighting and furniture are just as important as the floral backdrop. I often mix natural textures like wicker or brass with vibrant marigolds to keep the look warm yet polished, avoiding the generic, temporary feel that often creeps into smaller pre-wedding functions.
When designing for pre-wedding events, the goal isn't just to fill space, but to create a specific atmosphere that invites guests to relax and participate.
My approach to these events is rooted in the same principles I use for main weddings. We don't just use plastic drapes and standard chairs. I curate custom backdrops, whether that is a 10ft x 8ft floral photo wall for a Haldi or a thematic carnival setup with interactive games.
The Art of Detail:
- Natural Elements: I prefer using brass urlis with floating petals, lemon trees, and terracotta pots over synthetic fillers. These elements ground the event in tradition while looking sophisticated in daylight.
- Comfort-First Seating: Instead of rigid banquet chairs, I bring in cane moodas, wicker chairs, or floor mattresses with rugs. This encourages guests to lounge comfortably, which is essential for long Haldi or Mehendi sessions.
- Personalized Signage: Every event gets a custom easel welcome board. It is a small touch, but it signals to your guests that this is a considered, well-planned celebration.
Whether you are planning an intimate Haldi in a Mumbai hotel or a high-energy carnival in Lonavala, my team handles the complete production—from the stage backdrop to the table centerpieces. If you have a specific color palette or a 'wild idea,' let’s discuss how we can execute it.
