I start with a mandatory consultation to check your hair’s health before deciding between Keratin, Botox, or chemical straightening. If your hair is too damaged, I will tell you straight—we do a protein repair first, or we wait. No shortcuts, just honest work.
Why Most Frizz Treatments Fail
Most people think a high-heat iron is the solution to frizz. It is not. Frizz is a sign of structural damage or dryness, and using heat without the right treatment just burns the hair further. In my 25 years at Ali Salon, I have seen every type of damaged hair—from fried ends to stubborn, curly, unmanageable textures. My approach is simple: diagnose first, treat second.
The Treatments I Stand By
I do not offer every trend that hits the market. I only offer what works for the long term:
- Keratin Smoothing: Perfect if you want to reduce volume and kill frizz while keeping some natural movement.
- Hair Botox: This is for deep hydration. It smooths the cuticle and adds a glass-like shine. It is the best choice if your hair feels like a broom (jhadoo) and lacks life.
- Professional Straightening (X-Tenso): If you want a pin-straight, sleek look that requires zero effort in the morning, this is the structural change you need. I perform an elasticity check before every service to ensure your hair can take the chemical process.
The 'Principal' Process
When you sit in my chair, expect a full audit. We wash with a clarifying shampoo to open the cuticles, apply the protein or smoothing compound in thin sections, and let it saturate. For Botox and Keratin, we use titanium ironing to seal the compound into the hair shaft. For straightening, we do a precise neutralization step to lock the shape.
I won't promise you a 'miracle' in one day if your hair needs a recovery plan. We might need a deep conditioning or protein session before we can safely do a heavy chemical treatment. My goal isn't just to make your hair look good for a week; it's to keep it healthy and manageable for months.
