About Behind the Lens: The Process
When we shoot, you aren't just waiting for the final batch to arrive days later. I use tethered shooting, which means every frame pops up on my laptop screen in real-time. You, me, and the stylist can tweak poses, fix lighting, or adjust the outfit right then and there, so we walk away knowing exactly what we captured.
Building a high-fashion or e-commerce campaign isn't a solo act. It is a proper yatra where the vibe matters as much as the lens. Whether we are in my Sanpada studio or shooting on the Mumbai streets, my process focuses on removing the guesswork.
How We Work
- Pre-Production: We start with a moodboard. We define the aesthetic before the camera even comes out of the bag.
- The Setup: I use professional studio lighting—softboxes, ring lights, and gels—to create that specific mood you need. No flat, boring light.
- The Collaboration: You will usually see me working with a team of stylists and makeup artists. It is a collaborative energy, not just me standing behind the camera.
Why Tethered Shooting Matters
This is the biggest game-changer for my clients. Because we connect the camera to my laptop, we see the images at full resolution immediately. We check the details—the fall of the fabric, the jewelry placement, the model's expression—before we move to the next set. It cuts down post-production time significantly and guarantees that you leave the studio happy with the results.
Post-Production
After the shoot, I take over with the editing. I handle color correction, skin smoothing, and retouching to ensure that final deliverable is crisp and ready for your Amazon listing or Instagram feed. You get the polish, I handle the hard work.
