Golden Hour & Garden Maternity Shoots
I believe the best maternity photos happen when you are relaxed, outdoors, and bathed in the soft, warm light of the golden hour. Let’s capture your journey in a way that feels natural, comfortable, and truly like you.
A beautiful candid moment between expectant parents, surrounded by wildflowers in a sunlit garden. I love capturing these shared glances and gentle interactions that tell the story of their journey together.
An intimate portrait of a couple seated on a park bench, lost in the moment. The soft focus and quiet connection make this a perfect example of the romantic, natural style I aim for in my couple maternity photography.
This is a creative and heartfelt shot, framed by the father-to-be's hands making a heart shape. It beautifully centers the expecting mother and her bump, symbolizing that she is the heart of their growing family.
A serene solo portrait of an expecting mother gently holding her baby bump. The soft, natural lighting and her peaceful expression perfectly capture the quiet anticipation of motherhood.
The vibrant red of her dress stands out beautifully against the soft green of the park. This solo maternity portrait showcases how choosing the right outfit can add a pop of color and energy to your outdoor photoshoot.
A quiet moment on a park bench allows for a simple, elegant portrait. Her gaze towards her bump is full of love and connection, a feeling I always strive to capture during a solo maternity session.
This short video reel showcases different moments from a single outdoor maternity shoot. It highlights a variety of poses, from walking hand-in-hand to close-up details, showing the range of beautiful memories we can create together.
As a photographer who has been on the other side of the lens, I love sharing what I've learned. This video offers a glimpse of how we use natural light and simple poses to create stunning images, even in a local park.
About Golden Hour & Garden Shoots
Pregnancy can be exhausting, so my outdoor shoots are not about stiff poses or rushing. I offer a unique split-session option where we break your 3 to 4 hours of shooting into two slots, morning and evening, so you can rest in between without feeling drained.
Choosing to do your maternity shoot outdoors in a park or garden is about more than just a nice background. It is about freedom of movement. When you are pregnant, the last thing you need is the rigid structure of a studio. In a natural, green space, you can walk, sit, or lean against a tree, and we can find angles that show off your bump without making you feel uncomfortable.
I focus heavily on the golden hour, that sweet spot about an hour before sunset when the light gets soft and warm. It smooths out skin tones and adds a glow that no artificial studio light can replicate. Whether we meet at Lodhi Garden or Sunder Nursery, I prioritize your comfort above everything. If you need to sit, we find a bench. If you need a break, we take one.
The best time for these photos is usually between 30 and 32 weeks. By then, your bump is visible, but you are likely still mobile enough to enjoy the walk. Because I focus on natural light, we avoid harsh flashes entirely. Bring your partner or siblings along; they add a layer of connection that makes the photos feel like home, even when we are in a public park. I deliver the final edited images within two to three weeks, giving you a timeless record of this chapter. 🧿
