About Playful Shelves & Storage
These aren't flimsy particle-board pieces you find everywhere. I build these from solid pine and rubberwood because kids’ rooms are high-traffic zones. You get shelves that actually hold weight, whether it’s a heavy stack of bedtime storybooks or a collection of plushies, finished with non-toxic, child-safe paints that stay vibrant.
I believe storage should be a part of the fun, not just a place to hide clutter. That is why I move away from the standard rectangular designs. Every shelf you see here starts as a sketch in my notebook before I bring it to life in my workshop.
