About From Rehearsals to the Big Stage

When we start a new choreography, the first thing I look for isn't perfect technique, but the energy in the room. I don't care if you think you have two left feet; my job is to build a sequence that feels like you. Whether it is a 60-minute Zoom session or an in-person rehearsal, we focus on making the rhythm natural so you are actually enjoying the performance instead of just counting steps in your head.

The shiny stage performance is what guests see, but the real story happens in the practice sessions. This is where we break down complex songs into steps that even absolute beginners can manage. Since I started this in 2017, I have seen it all—from families in different time zones struggling with a beat to couples who just need that extra push to look confident.

Why Practice Matters

Sangeet is not just about dancing. It is about conceptualization. I help you figure out if you want easy, intermediate, or difficult choreography. My process involves:

  • Custom Song Mixes: We edit the music to fit your timing and your story, ensuring the tempo is actually danceable.
  • Video Tutorials: You get step-by-step breakdown videos with counting, so you can practice at your own pace.
  • Live Corrections: During our Zoom or in-person sessions, I focus on body language, posture, and formation. We fix the rhythm issues early so you are not stressed on the big day.

The Virtual Edge

Many of my clients are based in the US, Canada, or Australia. Distance does not mean you have to compromise on the quality of your performance. We use simple camera angles and clear cues to make virtual learning feel just as personal as being in the same room. We have worked with over 250 weddings, and the one thing that never changes is the joy of seeing someone go from nervous to owning the stage.
