The trick is keeping the base clean, using light layers of high-quality products like Nars and Huda Beauty, so you do not look cakey. I balance bold lips or defined eyes with a skin-like finish, so you still look like yourself, just more polished for the cameras.
When you choose a heavy velvet or embroidered red outfit, the makeup shouldn't fight for attention. My goal is to create a look that is grand enough for the event but comfortable enough that you aren't itching to wash it off the moment the ceremony ends.
