From Maharashtrian traditions to modern South Indian, Muslim, and Buddhist ceremonies, I specialize in creating authentic bridal looks. My focus is always on bringing out your natural inner glow, or manatla tej, rather than changing how you look.

About Brides of India

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all makeup. Whether you need the intricate, heavy fresh-flower braiding typical of a South Indian wedding or the specific, long-lasting HD techniques required to withstand a vibrant, multi-day Muslim celebration, I tailor my products and approach to your culture. We will discuss your outfit, your specific rituals, and your skin type well before your wedding day to ensure you walk out looking exactly like yourself, just more radiant.

Every culture has its own unique bridal language. Over my 15 years as a makeup artist, I have learned that the key to a successful look is understanding the traditions behind the outfit.

My Approach to Cultural Styling

For my South Indian brides, I focus on the 'poola jada' (flower braid) with heavy jasmine and fresh roses, ensuring the styling is secure enough to last through long morning rituals. For my Muslim brides, I often work with rich, warm tones that complement heavy lehengas and traditional passas, using waterproof, high-coverage products that stay fresh under studio and stage lights.

Why 'Mi Mi Diste' Matters

When I work with Buddhist or North Indian brides, my priority remains the same: I want you to look in the mirror and recognize yourself. I avoid heavy editing or excessive filters on my work. If you choose a natural, soft glam look, I prioritize skin-prep—using sheet masks and gentle massage—so that the makeup sits like a second skin rather than a mask.

The Technical Side

I use a mix of HD manual application and silicone-based airbrush techniques depending on the venue and the weather. If you are getting married in the open, I suggest airbrush for its heat resistance and lightweight feel. If you prefer a traditional touch, I use professional-tier products like MAC, Huda Beauty, and Kryolan to build a matte or semi-matte finish that photographs beautifully. My studio in Panvel is fully equipped, and I am happy to travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area to be there for your big day.
