Professional Ganesh Festival Photography
I do not just shoot Ganpati idols. I document the raw devotion, the loud processions, and the collective energy that makes Maharashtra come alive every year.

About Ganesh Festival Photography
Shooting an Aagman Sohala or Visarjan procession requires more than a good eye. I use dual-camera setups with prime lenses to switch between wide architectural shots and close-up portraits instantly. When the crowd moves, I move with them, ensuring I get that frame of devotion without getting in the way of the celebrations.
The real challenge of festival photography is the lighting and the sheer unpredictability of the crowd. During an Aagman Sohala, I focus on balancing the intense spotlights of the procession with the natural evening glow, using Sony Alpha gear to keep details crisp even when the lights are low. Whether it is the Kopri Cha Samrat or the Sanpada Cha Raja, my goal is to frame the idol in a way that feels intimate even amidst thousands of people.
I handle the madness of the crowd by staying in the action, not observing from afar. This means capturing candid interactions, the sweat and devotion on faces, and the grand scale of the idols as they make their way through the city streets. For larger pandals, I bring a full team to ensure we cover every angle, from the intricate facial expressions of the Bappa to the massive scale of the procession.
If you are planning to document a local Mandal's festival, reach out early. I need to understand the route, the timeline, and the specific rituals your community values most to ensure we do not miss the key moments.
