Artificial Turf & Railing Planter Setup
Flooring & Prep
- Artificial Turf: Installation of high-density artificial grass (35mm to 40mm pile height). Laid using a loose-lay or double-sided tape method to ensure it is rental-friendly and removable.
- Surface Prep: Basic cleaning and leveling of the existing tiled floor before installation.
Planters & Plants
- Railing Planters: Supply of 5 to 8 powder-coated metal or UV-treated plastic planters designed to hang on standard balcony railings.
- Live Plants: Pre-potted hardy, low-maintenance outdoor varieties such as Spider Plants, Purple Heart, or Rhoeo.
Lighting & Decor
- String Lights: One set of waterproof, warm-white LED fairy lights (10-15 meters) draped along the railing or wall.
- Setup: Complete material transport and installation finished in a single day.
Wood Decking, Swing & Green Wall
Wood Flooring
- Acacia Tiles: Interlocking wood square tiles (12x12 inch) with a plastic drainage base, finished with outdoor-grade oil.
- Pebble Border: White polished river stones filling the 4-6 inch gaps between the wood deck and the walls.
Furniture
- Swing Chair: One single-seater hanging swing, typically a free-standing wicker/rattan 'Egg Chair' with a metal stand and plush cushion.
Vertical Garden
- Green Wall Patch: A specific 16 sq. ft. (approx. 4ft x 4ft) patch of high-density artificial foliage mounted on a focal wall.
- Material: Realistic-looking faux foliage mats that require zero water or maintenance.
Styling
- Placement: Arrangement of furniture and decor to maximize space utility.

False Ceiling & Electrical
- WPC Rafters: Installation of weather-resistant, termite-proof Wood Plastic Composite rafters or louvers in a wood-grain finish.
- Lighting: Integration of COB spotlights or LED profile lights embedded within the ceiling rafters.
Custom Carpentry
- Storage Bench: A made-to-measure bench (5-6 running feet) built with Boiling Water Proof (BWP) Marine Plywood.
- Finish & Fabric: Finished with outdoor-grade laminate or polish. Includes a 3-inch high-density foam seat cushion with removable outdoor fabric.
Wall & Water Features
- Wall Cladding: Accent wall treatment using WPC fluted panels or stone-finish cladding behind the seating area.
- Water Fountain: A compact, standalone stone or FRP water feature with a recirculating pump.
Flooring Mix
- Zoning: A combination of artificial grass and wooden decking tiles to separate the seating area from the walkway.

My approach is all about making your balcony that spot you never want to leave. Even if the space is tiny or kinda odd-shaped, there’s always a way to add charm. Sometimes less is more, but I love going a bit extra if you’re up for it.
What I Do Best
- If you want a total urban oasis balcony design, I go big on greenery - think lush walls, colorful planters, or even hanging gardens with macrame and coir. All the green, but nothing too high-maintenance.
- Seating is everything. Some folks want a classic jhula (swing), others just a simple bistro set. I do comfy floor setups too, with those low mattresses and a riot of cushions. Storage benches? Yep, super useful for stashing stuff.
- Flooring makes a massive difference. Soft artificial grass? Feels amazing underfoot. Wooden decks or pebble borders? Bring on that cozy vibe.
- Lighting is non-negotiable for me. Fairy lights for balcony evenings, a statement pendant, or just some soft glowy backlights - it’s all about the mood.
- Need a calm corner? I can add a wall-mounted mini waterfall. The sound is honestly so soothing after a long day.
Real Talk
I also make sure it’s practical. Privacy screens, safety nets if you’re up high, or sneaky laundry corners - I’m all for smart fixes that blend in. Not every balcony gets epic sunlight or has loads of space, but I work with what you’ve got and keep it real.
