Bold & Editorial Makeup Looks
For moments when you want to break the mold. I love playing with high-pigment textures, metallic finishes, and creative accents to build high-fashion looks.
This is a look for the bold and adventurous. I combined a striking metallic blue lip with a deep blue smokey eye and styled the hair in classic 1920s finger waves for a dramatic, high fashion result.
Another angle of this creative editorial look. The lighting highlights the flawless skin and the intense color payoff of the eye and lip makeup, perfect for a concept photoshoot or a themed party.
A close up on the dramatic eye makeup from this editorial shoot. The blend of deep blue and purple eyeshadow creates a captivating look, balanced by the sleek and polished retro hairstyle.
Inspired by festive lights and confetti, this look is pure artistry. I created an ultra dewy, glass skin effect with gold highlighter, a dark glitter lip, and finished by scattering confetti through the hair and across the skin for a magical, celebratory feel.
This profile view showcases the incredible shine and texture of the glass skin technique. The light catches the gold highlighter on the cheekbones and the glitter on the eyelids, creating a futuristic and ethereal party look.
About Bold & Editorial Statements
For these looks, I focus heavily on product performance—using cream-based pigments that layer without looking cakey and professional-grade adhesives for details like rhinestones or confetti. Whether we are aiming for clean, futuristic glass skin or an intricate retro wave, my priority is ensuring the makeup remains pristine and sharp under studio lights or throughout your event.
Editorial and high-fashion makeup is where I get to experiment with my training from the Daniel Bauer Academy. It is less about traditional beauty standards and more about conceptual art.
When I work on these styles, we start with a clear mood board. If you want retro finger waves, I use heavy-duty setting gels and precise combing techniques to achieve that 1920s architecture. If we are going for a bold, futuristic look—like the blue metallic lips or glass skin you see in my gallery—I use high-gloss illuminators and graphic liners to catch the light.
These looks require patience. I spend time mapping out the face to ensure things like glitter or confetti placements are not just thrown on, but strategically positioned to enhance your bone structure. I also use long-wear formulas so the look holds up, whether you are on a fashion set or out at a themed party.
If you have a specific theme in mind, let me know. I love collaborating on new concepts and bringing high-fashion editorial techniques to your special day.
