About Behind the Scenes: The Process
I don’t believe in rushing the prep. Whether we are doing a dewy editorial look or a classic bridal set, I spend time on custom skin routines, like priming and color correcting, before any pigment touches your face. It is this attention to the base that ensures your makeup lasts through the humidity and the event, feeling like you, just polished.
Why the Process Matters
Makeup isn't just about the final application; it is about how the skin behaves under lights, during long hours, and in different weather conditions. My training at the Daniel Bauer Academy taught me that longevity starts long before I reach for a blush brush.
My Approach to Longevity
- Skin First: I always start with a chat to understand your skin type. If we are aiming for that glass-skin look, we need deep hydration. For longer events, I focus on heavy-duty pore-minimizing primers.
- Layering Techniques: You will often see me applying makeup in thin, buildable layers. This is how we avoid a cakey finish. Whether it is a soft glam look or a bold red lip, layering helps the product melt into the skin rather than sitting on top of it.
- Setting for Real Life: I use humidity-resistant setting sprays as a standard step, not an afterthought. If you are worried about your makeup sliding off during a long wedding function in Mumbai or Varanasi, this is the fix.
