Featured Graffiti Murals and Street Art Workshops by Zero
Graffiti is my language. From the streets of Delhi to workshops in Mumbai, here is a look at my work, my process, and how you can pick up a spray can.
This is how a blank wall gets a new life. Here’s a quick timelapse of me painting a piece in Pune, from the first yellow lines to the final colorful throw-up. It’s all about the process and watching the letters take shape.
Here I am in action in Mumbai's Marol district, a spot we love to paint. This shot was captured by the legendary photographer Martha Cooper while I was laying down a big purple and pink throw-up. It’s always an honor to be documented by the best.
This is what my workshops are all about. You'll go from sketching your first letters on paper to handling a spray can on a wall. It’s a hands-on session where you find your own style, mess up a bit, and have fun doing it.
My work isn't just on streets. This piece is a more complex style, mixing wheat-pasted posters, spray paint, and different layers on a canvas. It’s about pushing the boundaries of traditional graffiti and experimenting with new forms.
A classic ZERO tag. This one, with its sharp, gothic style, was done in an abandoned spot in Vadodara. A tag is your signature, and this is one of my many letterform styles I've developed over the years.
For all the folks in Mumbai, this is your chance to jump in. I'm running a graffiti workshop at Khar Social where we'll cover everything from basics to creating your own piece. No experience needed, just come ready to paint.
About Featured
Most people think graffiti is just about shaking a can and spraying. It is actually about prep work, pressure control, nozzle selection, and understanding the surface texture before the first line hits. When we paint, we are not just tagging; we are mapping out the space to make sure the flow hits right.
My Approach to the Streets
I have been active since 2008, moving from the fine art training at MSU Baroda to the raw, unpolished energy of the streets. Graffiti is a language for me. Whether I am working on a complex mural or teaching a workshop, the core remains the same: it is about lettering, style, and leaving a mark.
Workshops & Learning
My workshops are not textbook sessions. We keep it real. If you are new to this, do not stress about the technique. We start with sketching to understand letter flow and then move to the cans. I teach you how to handle different caps—fat caps for bombing, skinny caps for clean lines—and how to control the pressure. My goal is to help you find your own voice, or as we say, kuch naya, kuch apna (something new, something our own).
Why Collaborate?
My work spans from public spray painting sessions and private masterclasses to brand collaborations. I look at graffiti as a way to build community. We are not just decorating walls; we are changing the visual landscape of our cities, from the gullies of Delhi to the streets of Mumbai. If you are curious about urban art or want to commission a piece that speaks your language, reach out and let us get to work.
