About From Concept to Creation
We do not jump into 3D software immediately. We spend the initial weeks hand-sketching floor plans and sightlines to ensure the natural light path is perfect before a single brick is laid. This allows us to adjust proportions in real-time, giving you a home that feels intuitive rather than rigid.
Our design approach is rooted in the lessons of B.V. Doshi—architecture should feel like an extension of the environment. We believe the most important tool in our studio is a pencil. By sketching early concepts, we can explore how sunlight moves across your rooms throughout the day. This manual process helps us map out sightlines, from the bedroom foyer to the outdoor garden, ensuring the house breathes.
We favor materials that age gracefully—terracotta, raw brick, and natural stone. These are not just aesthetic choices; they dictate how a structure settles into its site. During this concept stage, we create mood boards that help you visualize these textures together, long before we move to technical drawings.
