Kids' Rooms: Playful Spaces to Dream & Grow

Kids' rooms are where magic happens—so let’s make them functional enough for homework and fun enough for adventures. Whether you need a space-themed bedroom in Cleo County or a custom study nook in Ace Divino, I design corners that actually grow with your little ones.

This space-themed bedroom is ready for adventure. The wallpaper is filled with rockets and planets, and the bed is piled high with cuddly friends. The house-shaped study nook is a cozy spot for reading and drawing.

Another look at the rocket-themed room, showing the custom-designed wardrobe with a mountain-peak pattern. The curtains also have a fun, playful print that ties into the room's theme.

A dreamy and spacious bedroom for a child. The design is playful yet sophisticated, with a sports theme on the wardrobe and a unique cloud-shaped false ceiling design. The room has plenty of space for play.

This angle shows the other side of the kid's room, with a cozy seating nook by the window and plenty of open and closed storage for books and toys. The warm wooden flooring makes the space feel extra cozy.

A functional and fun study and play area for a child. The olive green fluted panel adds a pop of color, while the built-in bench with storage underneath is a smart space-saving solution.

About this collection

A common mistake in kids' rooms is over-designing for 'now', forgetting that they grow up fast. My secret is keeping the fun elements like wallpaper or wall art modular—easy to change—while keeping the hard furniture like the study desk or wardrobe timeless and durable. It saves you from a total renovation when they hit their teens.

Designing for the long run

When we design a room for a six-year-old, we are really designing for the next ten years. In projects across Noida, like those in Cleo County or Ace Divino, I see parents worry about themes. My approach is to keep the base—the flooring, the wardrobe, and the study desk—neutral and high-quality. We bring in the 'theme' through easily replaceable elements: wallpaper, wall decals, or even the soft furnishings like cushions and bed linen.

Why the study nook matters

A great study nook is the most important part of a kid's room. It needs to be more than just a table and chair. I often build these with custom heights and integrated lighting to ensure the child feels comfortable sitting there for longer stretches. Take a look at the olive green fluted panel design I used recently; it wasn't just for aesthetics, it helped define the study zone as a 'focus area' separate from the 'play area'.

Storage that actually works

Kids have a lot of stuff, and it usually ends up on the floor. I focus on creating hidden storage that is accessible to them. Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with soft-close hinges mean no pinched fingers, and low-height drawers mean they can learn to organize their own toys. It’s all about creating a system that makes tidying up feel less like a chore and more like a game.
