These are not just photographs. They are close-up studies of India's birdlife, captured in their natural habitat and produced as high-quality prints for your walls.

A stunning male Blue-capped Rock-Thrush in its breeding plumage. The contrast of its sky-blue cap and vibrant orange underbelly makes this a striking fine art print.

A Black-rumped Flameback woodpecker pauses on a branch, its bright red crest and golden back on full display. The composition uses natural framing to draw the eye.

A Spotted Owlet stares directly into the lens with its piercing yellow eyes. This portrait, set against a soft green background, captures the intense and curious nature of owls.

A majestic Brahminy Kite perched on a high branch, surveying its territory. The lighting highlights the rich, reddish-brown plumage and the bird's regal posture.

A classic portrait of a White-throated Kingfisher against a clean green background. Its sharp red beak and brilliant white chest are the focal points of this crisp, clear image.

A conversation between a Scaly-breasted Munia and its fledgling. This heartwarming print captures a real, candid moment of parenting in the bird world.

A Red-vented Bulbul shows off its signature crest and the subtle red patch that gives it its name. The detail in the scalloped feathers is a key feature of this print.

A male House Sparrow on the ground, with morning dew on the grass beside it. This simple, charming portrait celebrates the beauty of a familiar backyard bird.

An Oriental Magpie Robin on the forest floor. The deep, glossy black and stark white of its feathers are beautifully rendered against the rich, dark background.

About Avian Portraits

Every print you see here is a high-resolution capture on museum-grade paper, ensuring that the plumage detail and natural light are preserved perfectly. When you order, I hand-sign each piece, and you can choose between a simple archival print or a ready-to-hang framed version.

My photography focuses on the stillness and detail of the subject. Whether it is the intense gaze of a Spotted Owlet or the vibrant blue of a Black-naped Monarch, I shoot to capture the bird's personality, not just a distant shape. These prints are not digitally enhanced composites; they are real, patient captures of wildlife in their element.

For the physical prints, I rely on museum-grade 240-300 GSM paper. This heavy-duty stock is essential for retaining the intricate textures of feathers and the depth of natural bokeh backgrounds. You have two primary options: a loose archival print for your own custom framing, or a finished wall-art piece.

If you choose the framed option, I provide a sleek, modern frame with a 1.5-inch acid-free mount board, which acts as a barrier between the print and the glass to prevent moisture damage over time. All frames come with pre-installed hardware, so they arrive ready to hang. Shipping is handled with the same care as the photography itself; prints are protected in acid-free butter paper and dispatched in crush-resistant, heavy-duty cardboard tubes to ensure they reach you in the exact condition they left my studio.
