Coordinated Wedding Styling for Couples and Families
I create cohesive, intentional looks for the entire family. Whether it’s matching your outfit to the bride's or styling the groom’s father, I ensure your collective vibe is elegant and unified.
A perfect example of coordinated couple styling. For this welcome dinner, we chose a beautiful pastel blue palette for both the bride and groom, creating a look that was harmonious, elegant, and unique for their celebration.
Styling the quiet strength behind the celebration is an honor. Here, I've curated different looks for the groom's father across wedding events, from a regal sherwani to an elegant velvet bandhgala, ensuring he looks timeless.
A glimpse of Priyanka and Pratyush's sangeet night. I styled them in glamorous, coordinated gold and black outfits that sparkled on stage, ensuring they looked like the stars of the show for their performance.
A portrait of my groom, Pratyush, looking sharp and confident on his wedding day. We chose a classic, intricately embroidered sherwani from Tarun Tahiliani that was both regal and personal.
The groom's entrance is a key moment. Here, Pratyush is surrounded by his family, all styled in coordinated outfits that complement each other, creating a beautiful, unified picture for the baraat.
The bride's entry is pure magic. For Priyanka, we chose a stunning Tarun Tahiliani lehenga and added a custom-made veil that added a dramatic and personal touch to her bridal look.
A beautiful moment between a bride and groom. My job is to ensure that when you stand together, your outfits tell a single, beautiful story. This is a checklist item I never miss.
Styling Avantika for her Mumbai reception in this stunning red Ritika Mirchandani ensemble. The look was bold and glamorous, perfectly coordinated with her groom's classic black suit for a powerful couple statement.
A closer look at the details of Avantika's reception outfit. The thigh-high slit skirt and fully embroidered blouse created a modern and chic silhouette, perfect for a contemporary reception look.
About Coordinated Couple & Family Styling
Coordinating a wedding wardrobe for an entire family is rarely as simple as picking matching colours. It is a logistical balancing act that requires aligning your mother's preferred sari with your sister's Indo-Western choice and your groom's sherwani. I handle the sourcing, fit checks, and accessory mapping for every member of the family, ensuring that while everyone retains their individual style, your group portraits tell a single, harmonious story.
Beyond the Couple: A Unified Look
When I work with families, the goal is never to make everyone look identical. That is a quick route to a costume party, not a wedding. Instead, I look for the 'common thread'—a specific colour palette, a shared fabric texture, or a consistent level of embroidery.
My Approach to Family Coordination
- The Anchor: We start with the bride or groom's main outfit. This becomes our anchor point. If the bride is in a pastel Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, we aren't going to put the groom in a neon shade. We play with complementary tones.
- The Groom's Family: I focus heavily on the 'quiet strength' of the parents. Whether it is a velvet bandhgala for the groom's father or a specific heirloom-inspired drape for the mother, these pieces need to look regal without overshadowing the couple.
- The 'Bhanja' and Beyond: I style across generations. From the youngest children to the elders, the challenge is comfort. A child in an itchy, heavy outfit will ruin the photos. I prioritize breathable fabrics that still hold the high-end, celebratory aesthetic.
The Logistics
Managing multiple wardrobes is chaotic. My service removes this by:
- Narrative Design: Creating distinct characters for each event so your Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception looks have a progression.
- Budget Strategy: I help you split your total budget. We invest in statement pieces for the couple and mix in smart, affordable labels for the extended family to keep the overall cost managed.
- Emergency Prep: We don't just shop. I provide the packing lists, safety kits, and draping tutorials so that when the day arrives, you are worrying about the celebration, not a loose pin.
