All-Weather Outdoor Rooms: Terrace Makeovers in Delhi
Stop letting the weather ruin your hangout spot. I take dead terraces and turn them into fully enclosed, 5-star lounges that you can actually use 365 days a year.
I made this small terrace useful by enclosing it to create an all-weather room. The space now features floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto a patch of artificial grass with a modern stone walkway. It's the perfect solution for adding a functional lounge or office space with an outdoor feel.
This terrace went from a simple space for potted plants to a sophisticated indoor-outdoor lounge. I designed an enclosed room with wood-paneled walls, modern furniture, and vertical accent lights, creating a cozy retreat that still feels connected to the outdoors.
About All-Weather Outdoor Rooms
The biggest mistake people make with outdoor rooms is using cheap materials that rot after one Delhi monsoon. When I build these enclosures, I use heavy-duty MS structures and toughened glass that actually handle the weather, not just look pretty for a week. We seal everything properly so your furniture stays dry, and you get that full outdoor view without the dust and heat.
I treat every terrace like a proper extension of your living room. Whether you have a tight balcony or a large open rooftop, the goal is the same: stop letting the weather dictate when you can enjoy your home.
I focus on two things: structural durability and style. For the frame, I use MS hollow tubes with a matte black or faux-wood finish. It is tough enough for Delhi’s harsh heat and the rainy season, yet clean enough to look high-end. For the enclosure, I use 10mm to 12mm toughened glass walls. It keeps the dust and noise out while letting the light in. This is the main character energy your home needs.
Inside, I typically install artificial turf or GVT tiles. It is low maintenance and stays green all year. If you want a party hangout, I can add a custom pergola with built-in strip lights. If you need a home office, we add proper insulation and custom seating. Most of these transformations happen within a manageable budget because we prioritize smart material choices. We don’t overspend on heavy civil work when metal and glass can give you the same, if not better, results.
