Wildlife Encounters: Stories from the Indian Jungle
The jungle holds thousands of stories beyond the famous sightings. From the elusive Blue Bull in Jhalana to the quiet life of our forests, I document the raw, honest behavior of animals in their natural home.
This video gives you a feel for the safari experience in the Indian wilderness. It is in these untamed landscapes that I journey to encounter majestic creatures, gather my stories, and capture the moments that I later share with you in my writing.
A pair of Blue Bulls, the largest antelope in Asia, are seen mating in Jhalana. Documenting the life cycle of all creatures, not just the most famous ones, is important for a complete understanding of our ecosystem.
About Additional Wildlife Encounters
Many travelers rush through a jungle safari looking only for the big cat. In the Jhalana forest or even the outskirts of Delhi, I spend my time watching the Blue Bull and other lesser-known creatures. When we stop to observe their daily survival, we learn more about the ecosystem than a quick tiger sighting could ever teach us. If you are joining me on an expedition, be prepared to slow down and really watch.
My approach to photography is simple: document the truth. Whether I am in Corbett, Ranthambor, or closer to home in the Delhi NCR region, I look for the moments that tell a story about animal behavior.
Why focus on the 'hidden' wildlife?
It is easy to focus on the tiger, but the wild is so much more. The Indian Roller, or Neelkanth as we know it, carries cultural significance that most people miss because they are too busy looking for the national animal. I aim to change that perspective. My photography expeditions are about teaching you how to track, how to wait, and how to respect the habitat.
The Safari Experience
When you join one of my guided tours, you are not just a passenger in a jeep. We talk about the forest, the threats to its existence, and the biology of what we are seeing. I keep my groups small so we can have a real conversation about nature, history, and the intersection of our human world with the wild.
Educational & Corporate Engagement
I bring this experience to you as well. My talks and keynotes use these encounters to explain concepts of patience, ecosystem management, and survival. It is an opportunity to look at wildlife through the eyes of someone who has spent decades observing it, rather than just taking snapshots. Whether it is a school classroom or a corporate strategy session, my goal is to spark curiosity about our heritage.
