A snapshot from one of our super fun Bolly-Garba workshops. The studio was filled with the sound of dandiya and the sight of swirling chaniya cholis. We teach routines that are energetic, easy to follow, and perfect for any Navratri celebration.

About Garba & Navratri Fusion
For these fusion sessions, I usually co-teach with Jinal, so you get double the energy and clear guidance on partner formations. We spend the first 15 minutes on a high-intensity warm-up, and the final 20 minutes are dedicated to a professional group showcase, so you walk away with a polished, performance-ready routine.
What to Expect at a Bolly-Garba Session
These aren't your typical dance classes. We blend the rhythmic footwork of traditional Garba and Dandiya with the catchy, commercial beats of Bollywood. My goal is to make sure you have a blast, regardless of whether you have been dancing for years or are just starting out.
Each workshop is a power-packed two-hour experience. We break down the choreography into easy-to-follow segments, focusing on circular formations and the graceful spins that make Garba so visually appealing. If you are coming with a partner, we will help you work on that specific chemistry and connection.
Practical Details
- Attire: I always suggest wearing comfortable Indo-western or ethnic outfits, like kurtas or skirts, because they look great in the final video and give you the right feel for the steps.
- Props: If the session involves Dandiya, I will let you know in advance so you can bring your own sticks, though we focus mostly on hand movements and footwork.
- Location: We hop around the city, conducting sessions at hubs like Vins Dance Co. in Koramangala, Dance Inn in J.P. Nagar, and other studios in Bangalore.
Why Join
At the end of the two hours, we record a final run-through with a professional videographer. You get a clean, edited clip that is perfect for your social media. It is not just about learning steps; it is about capturing that Navratri vibe and having a great time with a supportive group of dancers.
