About Behind the Scenes: How the Magic Happens
I don’t believe in rigid studio rules. Most of our rehearsals happen in your living room—yes, even on the rooftop or in the middle of a family party. If your cousin insists they only have time for ‘10 simple steps,’ we work with that. The goal isn’t a perfect performance; it’s making sure that when the music starts, your family feels confident enough to just let go and have a blast.
It's All About the 'Feels', Not the Perfect Moves
When people hear 'wedding choreography,' they often think of hours spent in a professional studio under bright lights. That’s not how I operate. The best moments—the ones you’ll actually talk about years later—happen during the rehearsals.
My approach is pretty simple:
- We come to you: Whether it's your living room, a terrace, or a hotel banquet hall, I travel across Mumbai to meet you where you're comfortable.
- The '10-Step' Rule: I have plenty of groomsmen and uncles who panic at the thought of dancing. We keep the choreography catchy but incredibly simple so nobody feels left out.
- Embrace the Chaos: If the kids are running around or grandma forgets the hook step, we don’t stop. We laugh, we reset, and we keep going. Those 'oops' moments are usually the ones that bring the whole family closer together.
How We Make it Work
If your family is spread across the city or even the country, we utilize virtual sessions and mirrored video tutorials so everyone can practice on their own time. When we finally meet for the in-person sessions, we focus on formations, entry/exit coordination, and making sure everyone knows where to stand.
By the time the actual sangeet comes around, you won't be worried about counting beats. You'll be too busy enjoying the music and feeding off the energy of your friends and family. That’s the real magic.
