In 2020, we took football where it had never been. This is the story of our 10-day journey in Grahan village, Parvati Valley, teaching 40 kids that football is more than just kicks and goals.

Day 1 of our grassroots football workshop in Grahan. For many of these kids, this was their first time ever kicking a football. We started with the absolute basics: teaching the words "receive" for stopping the ball and "pass" for sending it to a teammate.

On Day 2, we focused on building energy and team spirit. The session included fun warm-up exercises and our core chant: "Love! Peace! Respect! Uncaged!" This sets the positive foundation for everything we do.

Day 3 was all about fundamental skills. We practiced one-touch passing and receiving drills, breaking down the movements step-by-step. Seeing the kids improve and praising their efforts is a huge part of our coaching method.

By Day 4, the kids were ready for their first friendly matches. This was a chance for them to apply the skills they learned in a game situation, focusing on teamwork and having fun on the field against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas.

The energy on Day 5 was incredible. We ran more advanced dribbling drills and played team-building games. You can see the growing confidence and joy in the kids as they run, play, and encourage each other.

Day 6 was a creative break from football drills. We held a painting session, allowing the kids to express themselves and strengthen their bond as a group. It shows how we mix football with other activities for holistic development.

We brought the fun on Day 7 with more games and even some dancing. This day was about keeping the training light and enjoyable. We also painted a rock with our motto, "Lets Football," creating a landmark for our academy in the village.

On Day 8, we continued with skill-based drills and team huddles. Every session begins and ends with our "Love, Peace, Respect" mantra, reinforcing the core values of our academy.

Day 9 was dedicated to community service. The kids led a village cleanliness drive, learning about environmental responsibility. We marked this achievement with their handprints on a rock, a lasting reminder of their collective effort.

On the final day, Day 10, we put everything together with team matches and a final talk about life skills. We discussed the importance of keeping their environment clean, ending our 10-day journey with our powerful chant: "Love, Peace, Respect, Uncaged!"

About The Grahan Village Camp: A 10-Day Journey

When I run these rural clinics, it is not just about drills. We focus on building a rhythm with the ball while integrating life values like community cleanliness and teamwork. We come equipped with everything—portable magnetic boards, agility ladders, and footballs—but the real work happens when we teach the kids how to 'receive' the ball and respect each other in the process.

Taking football to remote corners like Grahan village, Himachal Pradesh, is about building a foundation for sports and life. We spent 10 days working with 40 children who had never kicked a ball before, starting with the absolute basics of movement and control.

Our curriculum was simple: morning and evening sessions focused on technical ball mastery like toe taps, sole rolls, and inside-foot passing, followed by dedicated life skills workshops. We believe in the power of 'Love, Peace, and Respect' as our core mantra. You can see it in how these kids started caring for their environment, leading a village cleanliness drive by Day 9, turning their love for the game into a love for their community.

We provided everything needed for the camp, including dry-fit kits, cones, and paint for our creative character-building sessions. By the final day, we weren't just a group of strangers; we were a team. If you want to organize a similar intensive football workshop for your community or school, I can bring this same mobile coaching unit to your location. We handle the gear and the expertise. You just need to provide the space and the kids.

I am Harsh. For me, football is a way to teach life skills like honesty, teamwork, and respect. Whether we are in the hills of Himachal or a park in Delhi, I believe every kid deserves the chance to play and grow.
