Professional Hair Color Correction & Damage Repair
Fixing a bad color job requires more than just applying more dye. I analyze your hair’s current health and porosity to rebuild its structure while correcting the tone, ensuring your hair looks and feels healthy again.
This is a prime example of a color correction and health transformation. We took this hair from frizzy and undefined to a rich, glossy chocolate brown with seamless balayage highlights, all while restoring its health.
This client came to me with damaged, unevenly colored hair. This video shows the transformation to a healthier state with a fresh cut and a new, balanced color that looks and feels completely revitalized.
This transformation involved correcting brassy, over-processed hair. I used foiling techniques to add dimension and applied a new, richer color, finishing with a style that showcases the hair's renewed volume and health.
We corrected a grown-out, faded color with this service. The final look is a rich, dark base with subtle, warm highlights, creating a sophisticated and healthy-looking result. The formula included Redken Shades EQ 08GI, 07NA, and 07N.
This video documents the entire color correction process, from sectioning and precise foil work to the final wash and style. The result is a beautiful, ashy balayage that looks natural and healthy.
About Color Correction & Damage Repair
Correction isn't about masking errors; it is about neutralizing unwanted tones without further stressing your hair. I always start by checking your hair’s elasticity and porosity to ensure we are not causing further damage. Whether it is removing heavy brassiness or fixing patchy highlights, I use professional-grade treatments to lift the tone gently while depositing the deep nourishment your hair is currently starved of.
My Approach to Color Correction
Many clients come to me after a home box-dye disaster or a chemical service that went wrong at another salon. My process is strictly results-oriented and focused on hair integrity.
1. Hair History & Analysis Before applying any color, I need to know what is already in your hair. I assess the damage levels and the type of previous chemical services. This prevents the common mistake of over-processing, which leads to breakage.
2. Neutralizing & Tone Balancing If your hair has turned orange or brassy, we need to neutralize those tones using the color wheel. I rely on Redken Shades EQ for this because it is an ammonia-free, demi-permanent gloss. It corrects the color while sealing the hair cuticle, giving you that reflective, glass-like shine you likely lost in the previous service.
3. Repairing the Foundation Color correction is often accompanied by a need for internal repair. I almost always pair these services with a Molecular Bond Repair or Hair Botox therapy. This isn't just a treatment; it is a clinical step to reconnect broken disulfide bonds and fill in the gaps in your hair fiber.
