The Difference Between Chrome and Cat-Eye

Many people confuse these two finishes, but they are completely different. Chrome is a fine pigment powder that I buff over a cured gel polish to create a solid, mirror-like reflection. It is perfect if you want that high-gloss 'glazed donut' look or a futuristic, metallic feel.

Cat-eye polish, on the other hand, contains metallic iron particles. Before I cure the polish under the lamp, I use a magnet to pull these particles into a specific shape, creating that floating, deep shimmer that moves when you turn your hand. It is mesmerizing and adds depth that regular polish just cannot touch.

Durability and Maintenance

Both finishes are long-lasting because they are part of a gel manicure process. You can expect them to stay chip-free for two to three weeks. However, because chrome is a delicate layer, it is important to avoid harsh chemicals or excessive scraping. Customizing Your Look

• Chrome Base: You can layer chrome over any color. A white base gives you that pearly, ethereal look, while a black base creates a deep, grunge-metallic finish.
• Cat-Eye Angles: With cat-eye polish, I can manipulate the magnet to create an 'S' curve, a sharp diagonal line, or a concentrated 'star' effect in the center of your nail.
