We often replace solid walls with open wooden partitions or integrate seating directly into entrance shoe cabinets to reclaim square footage. These small, intentional changes remove daily friction and make your living area feel much larger.
True intelligence in design comes from observing how a family moves. In many of my projects, we deal with tight Mumbai footprints where every square inch matters.
My approach starts with identifying the pain points in your current layout. Does the entrance feel cluttered with shoes? We design built-in cabinets with hidden seating to keep the area clean. Is your living room feeling cramped? Instead of brick walls, I use vertical wooden slats or fluted glass to separate the dining and living zones, which maintains openness while defining the space.
Functionality extends to the private corners of the home as well. I frequently move laundry functions to the balcony with custom cabinetry to clear up valuable kitchen or bathroom floor space. We also tackle the modern need for privacy by creating hidden doors that blend into wall paneling, perfect for guest bathrooms or utility areas.
