Behind the Scenes of My Handmade Crochet Work
Welcome to my yarn-filled chaos. Peek into how your varmalas, plushies, and gifts come to life, plus a look at some of the random projects that started it all.
I love putting together custom gift boxes. This one included a beautiful forever bouquet, a handmade crochet blanket with personalized lettering, and a cute amigurumi bunny toy.
A quick look back at some of my favorite random projects I've made in the past. This includes a "Short n' Sweet" tapestry wall hanging and a very silly but cute crochet croissant on wheels.
A behind the scenes look at the detailed work that goes into a single crochet varmala. It’s a slow process, but seeing the final result makes all the hours worth it.
After one of my reels went viral, I was lovingly bullied into making a tutorial. This video shows my process for making a crochet gajra, sharing the craft with others.
About Behind the Scenes & More
My process is slow and real. Every piece, from the varmalas to the amigurumi, happens right here in my room. It is just me, a lot of yarn, and my dog Zeus. When you order, you aren't getting something mass-produced; you are getting a project I have spent hours stitching, unpicking, and fixing until it is just right.
The journey of each piece starts with a simple ball of yarn and a lot of trial and error. I don't believe in fast manufacturing because that misses the point of crochet. Whether I am working on a 40-hour varmala project or a smaller plushie, the steps are the same: picking the right weight, testing the stitch tension, and ensuring the finish is durable.
I share this process because I want you to know exactly what you are paying for. When you see those 3D popcorn stitches in a wedding garland, know that there are hours of hand-labour behind them. When you see a bouquet, know that those stems were individually wired by me to make sure they hold their shape for years, not days.
I am based in Mumbai, but I ship these handmade creations all across India. I love working on custom requests, so if you have a Pinterest idea or a specific color palette in mind for a gift, just reach out. We can talk about what is possible with yarn and how to make your vision a reality. Keep in mind that since I work alone, custom orders take time. I suggest booking early, especially for events, so I have enough time to get the details perfect.
