My Market Adventures and Crochet Stall Setups
Come take a peek at the setup behind my crochet stalls. From park cafes in Gurugram to meeting all of you in person, these are the moments that make the hours of stitching worth it.
A recap of my second market experience, from the outdoor setup at a park cafe to meeting amazing vendor neighbors and cute customers. It was a wonderful day, and I was so happy to see my plushies find new homes.
A little glimpse into my first ever market! This video shows my stall full of colorful plushies, the fun vibe of the event, and some of the best-selling items like the pink octopus. It was an amazing experience connecting with people in person.
A fun, graphic collage I made to announce one of my market stalls. It features a mix of my crochet art, including plushies like a cow, whale, and octopus, giving a preview of the cute items I had for sale.
About My Market Adventures
Setting up a stall is way more than just displaying the plushies. It involves carefully balancing the inventory, like making sure I have enough velvet scrunchies and mini octopus charms to handle the weekend crowd, and setting up the display so everything is visible at eye level. Sometimes the smallest details, like adding a little blush to the cheeks or ensuring the character pillows are front and center, are what draw people in. It is exhausting work, but seeing someone pick up a plushie and smile is the reason I spend my evenings with yarn and hooks.
When I look back at my market journey, starting from that very first stall, I see more than just sales figures. I see the evolution of The Comfy Cuddles. Markets are chaotic, wonderful, and stressful all at once. Whether I am setting up at a quiet park cafe or a bustling community event in Gurugram, the goal remains the same: bringing comfort through crochet.
The Reality Behind the Stalls
You might see a perfect display of amigurumi animals, but the reality is weeks of prep. I am balancing a 9-to-5 job with these projects, so every market requires planning months in advance. I focus on creating a mix of items—high-demand favorites like my pink octopus or whale keychains, alongside one-off experimental pieces that test my creativity.
Connecting with You
The best part of these pop-ups is the feedback. Talking to people who hold my work and tell me, 'This reminds me of my pet,' or 'This is exactly what I needed,' is better than any online sale. It grounds the craft.
Looking for Something Specific?
While I am currently most active in Delhi NCR, meeting local customers face-to-face helps me refine my patterns and color choices based on what actually catches your eye. If you missed me at a recent market, you can always check my available stock or request a custom order. I love hearing your ideas, whether you want a specific animal or a color combo that matches your room decor.
