Traditional & Ethnic Hand-Painted Wall Murals
I bring the soul of Indian heritage to your walls, from intricate Jaipuri florals to vibrant Moroccan tile patterns. Let's turn your empty space into a conversation piece that reflects your roots.
The final reveal of a three-panel Jaipuri floral mural. Each panel is a unique piece of a symmetrical design, hand-painted with fine details to create a cohesive and elegant wall feature for a home in Bangalore.
This video shows the step-by-step process of creating one of the intricate Jaipuri floral panels. I start with a detailed sketch and carefully fill in the colors, building up the layers to achieve this rich, traditional look.
A final look at the hand-painted Moroccan tile mural in a client's bedroom. This video pans across the entire length of the artwork, showing how the different patterns come together to create a beautiful and cohesive design.
A close-up view of the hand-painted Moroccan tile patterns. Each tile has a unique design and color palette, but they all work together to create a vibrant and authentic ethnic wall border.
This video shows the Moroccan tile mural in the context of the bedroom, situated perfectly above the four-poster bed. It demonstrates how a custom wall mural can become an integrated part of your home's interior design.
A detailed shot of one of the hand-painted Moroccan tiles. You can see the precise linework and color choices that give the illusion of real ceramic tiles, adding texture and character to the wall.
Another perspective of the Moroccan tile mural, showing how it wraps around the corner of the room. This continuous design makes the space feel more connected and thoughtfully designed.
About this collection
I don't just paint designs, I adapt traditional patterns to fit the unique geometry of your room. Before picking up a brush, I sketch the layout directly on your wall to ensure the scale of the Jaipuri florals or Moroccan tiles feels just right. Whether you need a focal point above a headboard or a continuous border that wraps around a corner, we decide the flow together so the final art feels like a natural part of your home.
Bringing History to Your Walls
Every project starts with a conversation about what you want to feel in that space. My approach to ethnic wall art is rooted in patience and precision. Whether you are drawn to the classic symmetry of Rajasthani Jharokha windows or the vibrant, geometric complexity of Moroccan tiles, I hand-paint every detail. There are no decals or stencils here; every line you see is made with a brush.
My Process
- Consultation: We chat about your wall size and the vibe you want. I look at reference photos to understand your aesthetic.
- Sketching: I draw the design directly onto your wall. This is a crucial step because it lets you see the placement, proportion, and scale in your actual light before we ever touch a paint bottle.
- Painting: I build the artwork layer by layer. For Moroccan patterns, this means careful color blocking to get that authentic tile effect. For Jaipuri florals, it is about capturing that delicate, organic flow.
Technical Details
- Surface: For the best results with geometric or tile-based murals, your wall needs to be smooth (putty finished) and primed. Straight lines are difficult on rough, uneven surfaces.
- Paints: I use high-pigment acrylics that hold their vibrancy over time. For high-traffic areas, I apply a clear varnish coat to protect the work from dust and daily wear.
- Locations: I am based in Bangalore but frequently travel for projects across Delhi NCR. If you have a blank wall that needs a story, just reach out and we can plan the logistics.
Rimjhim
Hi, I'm Rimjhim. I believe a blank wall is just an empty story waiting to be told, and I love using traditional Indian patterns to write it. I don't follow rigid templates; instead, I spend time with you to understand your space so the murals we paint feel like they’ve always belonged there.
