About Golden Hour Dreams
Golden hour is a fleeting window, so we work strictly within the 60 to 90 minutes before sunset or after sunrise. This requires planning, especially if you have children or pets joining, as we need to align the shoot with their energy levels and nap schedules. It is an early start or a late finish, but it is the only way to get that soft, warm light without the harsh shadows of the midday sun.
Why Choose Golden Hour?
Lighting is the foundation of every image I create. When we shoot during the golden hour, the sun acts as a natural softbox. It wraps around you, creating a glow that is impossible to replicate with artificial light or mid-afternoon sun. My gear, including the Sony 50mm 1.4 GM lens, thrives in these low-light conditions, allowing me to isolate you from the background while keeping the skin tones creamy and natural.
The Process
We typically meet at a location we have discussed in advance—usually a quiet park, a field, or a lakeside area near Pune. Once the light hits the 'golden' stage, we move. I do not rely on rigid poses. Instead, I guide you through a series of natural interactions: walking, holding hands, looking at your bump, or playing with your toddler. My role is to observe and catch those genuine reactions when you forget the camera is there.
Planning for Comfort
- Timing: We will keep a close eye on the weather and sunset times for your date.
- Wardrobe: Stick to neutral or earthy tones that complement the warm landscape. Avoid busy prints.
- Children & Pets: If they are coming along, feed them beforehand. I prefer to incorporate their natural playfulness into the shoot rather than forcing them to smile for the lens.
Whether you want a solo portrait that captures your strength or a family session celebrating the new chapter, this session is about storytelling. I am there to freeze the raw, unfiltered joy of your pregnancy, providing you with a gallery of images that feel as warm as the light they were shot in.
