My family routines are built for the 'I can't dance' crew. We skip the high-pressure, technical footwork and focus on routines that look effortless, full of personality, and high on emotion—the kind that gets the whole room cheering for your parents or siblings.
I know the struggle: you want your parents, siblings, or that one shy uncle to have their moment, but nobody wants to be on stage for 5 minutes looking uncomfortable. My approach is entirely about 'Vibe Check' choreography. We pick tracks that match your family's dynamic—whether it's a 90s classic for the parents or a sassy, trendy number for the siblings—and keep the steps simple enough to learn during hybrid sessions.
Why it works:
- Non-Dancer Friendly: I teach moves that look big and dramatic on stage without requiring complex, technical coordination.
- Hybrid Rehearsals: I do in-person sessions in Bengaluru and NYC/NJ, but we can also use my virtual breakdown videos to get outstation family members performance-ready.
- Emotional Focus: My priority isn't technical perfection; it's the goosebumps. I love choreographing father-daughter duets or mother-aunt group performances that tell a story, making sure the focus remains on the joy of the celebration rather than the perfection of the steps.
