People often ask me if they need to be a pro to shine on stage, and my answer is always the same: absolutely not. Whether we are rehearsing in my Bangalore studio or hopping on a Zoom call for a virtual session from NYC, I focus on simple, catchy steps that match your energy, not just technical routines. If you are a non-dancer, koi tension nahi (no worries), we start with basic, confident moves that get you comfortable before adding that signature Bollywood flair.
My goal is to make sure your sangeet feels like your own blockbuster film, not a stiff stage performance. The magic usually happens long before the wedding day, during the hours we spend brainstorming song mixes and entry concepts.
How We Make It Happen
- Hybrid Learning: We bridge the gap between locations. I work with clients in Bangalore and the NYC/NJ area in-person, but my virtual wedding dance lessons ensure your friends and family across the globe are part of the show.
- Custom Choreography: Every family is different. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all routines. We tailor the choreography to your vibe, whether it's a slow, romantic couple dance or an high-energy, full-cast flashmob.
- The 'Filmy' Factor: From sourcing props like sunglasses to coordinating with your DJ and MC, I handle the technical logistics so you can focus on the performance. We look at the flow of the entire evening to ensure the transitions feel smooth and the emotional moments land perfectly.
Why Practice Matters
Rehearsals are where the real bonding happens. We keep the vibe light and fun because if you aren't enjoying the practice, you won't enjoy the performance. My favorite moments aren't just the final stage shots, but the laughter during those 20+ hour rehearsal blocks where uncles are learning to pop, lock, and drop it.
