About Lord Krishna & Radha's Divine Love

Creating a single Radha Krishna painting in our studio is a meditative process that takes over 60 hours of focused work. We rely on traditional methods, avoiding synthetic shortcuts. From the hand-prepared Sudha embossing and the application of authentic 24K gold foil to the final, deliberate painting of the deity's eyes, every step is a dedicated act of devotion to ensure the finished piece carries a soulful energy.

Tanjore painting is more than just home decor for us at Tanjore Collective; it is a tradition that has lived in our family for over 40 years. When you bring a depiction of Radha and Krishna into your home, you aren't just buying an object. You are welcoming a piece of art that has been crafted with the intention of lasting for generations.

Our Process

We honor the ancient techniques taught by my mother and grandmother. We start by preparing our own limestone and gum paste for the traditional 'Sudha' relief work, which gives the painting its signature three-dimensional feel. We use genuine 24-karat gold foil—not synthetic alternatives—to cover the thrones, crowns, and architectural elements, ensuring a rich, warm glow that catches the light beautifully.

Customizing Your Divine Art

Whether you are looking for a small, intricate miniature for your personal altar or a large format heritage piece for a temple or main pooja room, we can create it. Some collectors come to us with a specific vision of a Raas Leela scene or a subtle depiction of Krishna playing his flute, while others simply share a feeling they want to evoke. We guide you through the process, helping you select colors and iconography that fit your space perfectly. Every painting comes with a signed certificate guaranteeing the purity of the materials used. If you are in Bangalore, we invite you to visit our studio in Basavanagudi to see our work, feel the gold texture, and discuss how we can bring your chosen divine form to life.
