About High-Energy Bollywood & BollyHop
My classes are not about perfecting every single movement, but about finding your rhythm and letting go of the stress. In our group sessions, we spend the first 15 minutes warming up and getting into the groove before breaking down the choreography step by step. You do not need to be a pro to join; I focus on making the routine accessible, fun, and camera-ready, so you feel confident by the time we hit record on that final group video.
When I teach, my goal is for you to walk out feeling a little lighter and more connected to yourself. We blend high-energy Bollywood with sharp hip-hop elements, which I like to call 'BollyHop.' Think big, expressive thumkas mixed with clean, urban-inspired footwork. It is a space where being a non-dancer is totally fine—I have seen so many people walk in nervous and leave buzzing with energy.
We usually start with a quick fitness-based warm-up to get the heart rate up and loosen up those stiff joints. Then, we dive into the choreography. I break down the routines in a way that feels natural, not mechanical. Whether we are working on a trending track or a classic Bollywood number, the focus is on the performance and the vibe. By the end of the session, we record short clips so you have something fun to look back on or share—no pressure, just memories.
What to expect in a session:
- Warm-up: 15 minutes of cardio and groove basics.
- Choreography: Learning 45 to 90 seconds of a routine.
- Recording: We end with a studio-lit group video to capture the energy.
- Confidence: We focus on expressions, not just technical steps.
I split my time between Bangalore and the US, so you will find me hosting these workshops in premium studios across central Bangalore hubs and occasionally in the New Jersey area. If you cannot make it to the studio, I also run live virtual masterclasses where I modify the steps to fit smaller home spaces. Let’s get moving and find your own beat.
