Our Family Album: Authentic Pet Photography
Pet photography isn't about perfectly posed shots. It is about documenting the chaotic, joyful, and messy life you share with your furry family members.
Our complete family, Jiraiya and Jeannie included, celebrating Diwali at home. I believe pets are part of every family moment, big or small, and I love capturing these special occasions.
A happy selfie from the front seat during one of our many road trips. This is what it's all about: the simple, joyful moments of traveling together as a family.
A look back at Jiraiya, from a tiny puppy playing with a ball to a grown dog expertly catching a frisbee. Documenting their growth is a powerful way to tell the story of their life with you.
About this collection
When I capture a family album, I don't look for the perfect pose because real family moments rarely happen when everyone is sitting still. Whether it's a messy birthday cake smash or your pet simply dozing off on your lap, these are the frames that tell your real story. I bring that same patience to your home or your favourite park, letting the 'circus' happen naturally while I stay ready with my camera to catch the genuine connection.
I started photographing my own dogs, Jiraiya and Jeannie, because I realized that the best memories weren't the staged ones. They were the ones from our road trips, the lazy Sunday afternoons, and the festive celebrations where the dogs were right in the middle of everything. That is the philosophy I bring to these family sessions.
Why I avoid studios
I don't use studio backdrops or bright flash setups because that’s not where your pet lives. Your pet is most comfortable in their own territory—whether that is your living room or the neighbourhood park where they know every tree. By keeping the environment familiar, your pet stays relaxed, and I can capture their true personality instead of a forced expression.
What we cover
This cluster is about the milestones. It can be:
- Celebrations: Capturing birthdays, festivals like Diwali, or 'gotcha' days.
- Daily Life: The morning routines, the play sessions, or just hanging out at home.
- Growth Stories: Documentation of your pet as they grow from a puppy to an adult.
For these sessions, I generally use telephoto lenses. This allows me to stand back and give your pet space to act naturally. I don't need to hover over them or crowd their space. My goal is to be a fly on the wall, documenting the bond between you and your pet without interrupting the flow of your day. If you want photos that feel like your actual life, let’s talk.
Sunny Nair
I'm Sunny, and my life basically revolves around my two dogs, Jiraiya and Jeannie. I'm just here to help you capture that same chaotic, beautiful, 'pawsome' energy you share with your own pets.
