The Main Affair: Wedding Ceremony Photography
Your wedding day is a story in motion. I capture the raw emotion of your vows, the grandeur of your rituals, and the quiet moments between the chaos, all with a cinematic eye.
A breathtaking entry for a fairytale wedding. The couple walks through a cloud of smoke under a grand chandelier, a perfect example of the cinematic and grand wedding moments I love to capture.
The groom's entrance is a moment of pure spectacle. Here, he makes a grand entry down an aisle lined with flowers and cold pyrotechnics, creating a truly royal and unforgettable photograph.
The bride's walk down the aisle is one of the most emotional moments. This over-the-shoulder shot from the groom's perspective captures his first look at his bride, with all the anticipation and love in her eyes.
The Varmala ceremony, surrounded by a sea of loved ones. I capture both the wide shot showing the scale of the celebration and the close-up of the couple's joyful embrace.
The sacred fire as witness to their union. This shot captures the couple during the phera ceremony, a deeply traditional and meaningful moment in a Hindu wedding.
The bride's entry under the phoolon ki chaadar is a classic moment. This shot, taken from the groom's viewpoint, emphasizes the emotion and tradition of the bridal procession.
A creative perspective of the baraat. The bride watches from a balcony as the groom makes his grand entrance on a horse, a beautiful storytelling shot that connects their two journeys.
From the electrifying Varmala with sparklers to the sacred pheras by the fire, I document every key ritual of the wedding ceremony, ensuring no moment is missed.
A celebration of love and friendship. The couple's friends shower them with petals and cheer them on during the Varmala ceremony, creating a moment of pure joy and energy.
The sindoor ceremony is a pivotal moment in a Hindu wedding. I capture this intimate ritual, where the groom applies sindoor to his bride's forehead, symbolizing their new marital status.
About The Main Affair: Wedding Ceremonies
I don't just point a camera at the pheras; I anticipate them. My team navigates the high-energy chaos of the baraat and the delicate, sacred lighting of the wedding mandap by balancing multi-angle coverage with unobtrusive movement. We focus on the narrative flow of your ceremony, ensuring the final shots capture the raw reality of the day rather than just static posing.
The main wedding day is a high-pressure environment where timing is everything. My approach combines the scale of a Bollywood production with the intimacy of a documentary.
Why the approach matters
Most ceremonies move quickly. Between the bride's entry and the final sindoor ceremony, there are only a few moments where lighting, emotion, and action align perfectly. I use a 7 to 8-member crew for a reason: split-team coverage. While one photographer focuses on the couple's expressions, another captures the reactions of the parents and the grandeur of the decor, ensuring nothing is missed.
Technical precision for rituals
Ceremonies often take place in low-light conditions or venues with tricky architectural lighting. We use off-camera flash and continuous video lighting to highlight the details of your attire and the intricacy of the rituals without interfering with the sanctity of the space. Whether it is a traditional setup or a modern, open-air mandap, we adapt our gear to suit the environment.
What you get
My packages include comprehensive coverage of the key rituals—the baraat, the varmala, the pheras, and the sindoor ceremony. You get a mix of high-resolution candid images and a professionally edited cinematic film. We do not believe in forcing you to pose during the main events; we let the day happen, positioning ourselves to document the story exactly as it unfolds.
