Sacred Vows: Authentic Wedding Ceremony Photography
I document the heart of your big day, from the nervous anticipation of the baraat to the quiet sanctity of the pheras, keeping every moment authentic.

An intimate close-up as the groom applies the sindoor. The bride's upward glance and smile make this a deeply personal and touching photograph.
A tender black and white moment during the wedding ceremony. The groom's gentle gesture and the bride's happy smile say it all.

About this collection
During the main ceremony, I don't interfere with the flow of events. Whether it is an intense Anand Karaj or a traditional Hindu wedding, I work from the periphery to catch the raw reactions of your family and the silent glances you exchange at the mandap. My focus is entirely on the lived experience of these rituals, ensuring your photos reflect the actual energy of the room rather than forced poses.
The Art of Documentary Rituals
Wedding ceremonies are complex, fast-paced, and deeply personal. My approach is rooted in documentary photography, meaning I do not direct your rituals. I am there to observe, finding the right angles to capture the sindoor application, the pheras, or the family's expressions without intruding on the sanctity of the moment.
Why the Ceremony is Different
Unlike portraits, ceremony photography is about anticipating the rhythm of the event. I have photographed everything from intimate destination weddings in Thailand to large-scale traditional setups in Mumbai and Jaipur. I know where to stand during a Baraat and when to pull back for the emotional Vidaai. Because I use low-light equipment, I can capture these moments even in dimly lit venues or outdoor night setups without relying on harsh, distracting flashes that kill the ambiance.
Choosing the Right Coverage
- Single Day Candid: Best for intimate gatherings where the focus is on raw emotion and storytelling.
- 3-Person Team: Recommended for larger weddings where you need one person on the couple, one on the family reactions, and one documenting the traditional stage groups. This ensures that while I am capturing your reaction to the rituals, my team is documenting the guests who are witnessing it, providing a complete narrative of your wedding day.
I believe the most powerful photos are the ones you didn't know were being taken. Let's make sure your ceremony album feels like a story, not just a list of events.
Rahul Patwa
I’m Rahul. Having just gone through my own wedding, I know the nerves and the joy of those ceremony hours. I am not there to boss you around or make you pose for ten minutes; I am there to capture the promises you make and the family cheering you on.
